Manish Arora - psychedelic colours and kitsch motifs

The rumours seem to be right . Manish Arora is the new creative director of Paco Rabanne. After long pause since 2006 the fashion house will start to operate again. First collection (Spring/Summer 2012 ) made by Manish Arora will be presented in October this year during the fashion week in Paris. So the good new is that we will see interesting ideas of Arora, recreated through the eyes of Paco Rabanne.
Manish Arora is regarded by many as "the John Galliano of India", Manish is an alumnus of National Institute of Fashion Technology in New Delhi; he started his eponymous label in 1997, and today he is known for a rich palette of psychedelic colors and kitsch motifs, in garments that combine traditional Indian crafts like embroidery, appliqué and beading with Western silhouettes. Today his label is available in 84 stores worldwide.
When I wrote about candy fashion I realised that for each style in fashion there is a particular music and video vision. So to make the impression more vivid I decided to use music and video clips. Talking about psychedelic , and India , the first in my mind is of course the region Goa and endless trance parties. So let's feel the mood of that magical place . Fractal art and psychedelic music represent completely the creations of Manish Arora. Enjoy!

And if McQuuen is the genius of the dark fairy-tale heroes Arora is presenting us the bright side of the story. Positive, colorful, fairies, butterflies, and endless warm days in forests of flowers, simply magic.
